The All New Chromebooks

Google has officially announced its first ever computer hardware. The Chromebook Notebook is basically a barebones computer that runs on Google’s Chrome OS. In other words, hard disk drives and RAMs are non-existent since Google points out that consumers use the Web anyway for most of their computing needs.
The Chromebook comes in two versions: One is manufactured by Samsung, the other by Acer. The Samsung Chromebook features a 12.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution, an Intel Atom dual-core processor, built-in dual-band WiFi and optional 3G, HD webcam with noise-canceling microphone, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 memory card slot, mini-VGA port, and up to 8.5 hours of battery life.
The Acer Chromebook, meanwhile, has similar specs except for an 11.6-inch HD LED-backlit LCD screen and a HDMI port.
Excited to get one? You may have to wait until June 15. Check out the Chromebook’s product page for more information.
