With different people looking for laptops with different levels of ruggedness depending on what they are being used for, Panasonic has developed different lines of tough and rugged laptops according to how the user wants it. There are now Panasonic fully-rugged, semi-rugged and business-rugged laptops that consumers can choose from. In the semi-rugged line, Panasonic has recently introduced the new Toughbook 53 Semi-Rugged Laptop.The new Panasonic Toughbook 53 Semi-Rugged Laptop is on the level of being drop-resistant at a height of around 30″ on six sides, shock as well as spill resistant. It is the level of ruggedness that may already be ideal for light industrial and even office work. But its computing performance is just as impressive as its toughness.
The Panasonic Toughbook 53 Semi-Rugged Laptop features an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, 2GB or 4GB RAM, and a 320GB shock-mounted hard drive. Its rechargeable batteries offer a computing power of up to six hours for each charge. It also features a 14″ HD LED CircuLumin polarized anti-glare touchscreen display and WiFi as well as Bluetooth connectivity. It may also offer an optional 3G and 4G LTE connectivity support for those who might need it. The Panasonic Toughbook 53 Semi-Rugged Laptop comes in two versions- the Core i3 and the Core i5 models which costs around US$1,599 and US$1,899, respectively.
