Samsung annouces 3 lineups of external USB 3.0 HDDs up to 2 TB big

Data transfer is one of the narrowest bottlenecks that computer performance has to encounter these days. To address this, we have USB 3.0 technology that is about three-year old now, but a seizable growth of compatible devices was marked only last year. Samsung has started the year with three new USB 3.0 external HDDs. The top-end desktop-side lineup pictured on the left features up to 2 terabyte maximum capacity (1 TB and 1.5 TB options are also available), 256-bit Full Disk Encryption, backup software with automatic and continues modes, a couple of fancy glossy paints with wave patterns and USB 3.0 compatibility, of course.

Other two lineups are portable ones. They top 1 TB but are much smaller. Difference between the two is in styling and data security software. Samsung’s new external USB 3.0 hard drives will priced shortly before they go into mass availability in April in USA.
