Samsung Galaxy Player is up for CES 2011

Samsung is reportedly preparing a Galaxy Player for CES 2011 which is just round the corner. The upcoming Galaxy Player, as we have learned earlier this year, will not be the only media player Samsung plans to present next week at the exhibition, but the other YP-G50 is a bit short on specs next to the Galaxy Player model number YP-GB1. By the looks of things Galaxy Player inherits a lot of hardware components from the Galaxy S smartphone which is clever because all you have to do to design a multimedia player this days is take a GSM antenna out off a smartphone so its distribution wouldn’t face communication device licensing limitations.

Anyway, judging solely by the picture, many people agree that Samsung could have done a better job making future Galaxy Player look less like iPhone of the past. On a personal note, I am looking forward to a sliding full QWERTY keyboard next to a touch sensitive display on a PMP.
