Guitar Hero players are mourning as Activision Blizzard announced that it is bringing the curtain down on its iconic “Guitar Hero” music videogame franchise. This comes after the Southern California-based company suffered significant losses in the last quarter as well as “continued decline in the music (video game) genre.”The company has also dismissed seven percent of its staff, including all members of Guitar Hero team.
Instead, Activision Blizzard sets its focus on upcoming titles for the popular “Call of Duty” battle franchise, as well as investing in online games and digital distribution.
