If there is one grand way to unveil a product, it would have to be by putting up an advertisement on Super Bowl and Sony Ericsson did just that.On Sunday’s big event, the company finally confirmed the long-rumored “PlayStation Phone,” which it renamed as Xperia Play. The ad ran a voice over saying that it is “the smartphone with everything you need and the one thing you want,” pertaining to its PlayStation Portable functionality.
The ad, however, fell short in revealing the phone’s release date and pricing, but that could be addressed in Sony Ericsson’s upcoming press conference this Sunday, February 13, in Barcelona just in time for the Mobile World Congress.
