BMW has unveiled its all-new BMW 6 Series Coupé, but we are more interested with its 16-loudspeaker sound system provided by Bang and Olufsen.The audio system, which runs on 1,200 watts, features of seven tweeters that are paired with mid-range speakers for a consistent sound. It also has two large subwoofers mounted to the car’s body under the front seats, ensuring that these speakers would not yield unnecessary vibrations and rattles.
It even has a speaker grill in the center of the dashboard that pops up once the sound system is turned on and reveal a large acoustic lens to project 180-degrees of high-quality sound It is like putting the audio quality of a music hall into a single car.
This new Bang & Olufsen system will debut along with the new BMW 6 Series Coupé in fall 2011.
